Your kids are screaming, the bills are due, the partner is careless and sloppy, the parents are too demanding, and there's a pile of work on your desk that's growing at a ridiculously quick pace. It's undeniable - life often seems full of stress. What is stress?

Stress is your body's reaction to the demands of the world, and stressors are events or conditions in your surroundings that may trigger stress. The symptoms of stress can be Physical, such as headache and fatigue, Mental, such as poor concentration, Emotional, such as irritability and depression, or Social, such as isolation and resentment.

Yoga is most ancient and effective modern stress management tool that is now being used to reduce stress levels and to treat a large variety of ailments including chronic low back pain, headaches, osteoporosis, MS, hypertension etc.

Yoga can

* Alleviate back and muscle pain
* Increase circulation in the organs, glands, and nerves
* Stimulate digestion and elimination
* Decrease cholesterol and blood sugar levels
* Cleanse the body of toxins
* Improve breathing disorders

Through the practice of yoga stretches, breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation, Yoga helps to develop a deep sense of overall wellbeing and feeling of peace and calmness from within.

During my classes students are encouraged to develop a regular practice so they can achieve a body of optimum health and strength, senses under control, a well disciplined and clear mind, a strong will, a heart full of love and compassion, and a life filled with supreme purpose and joy.

Ancient Yogis had a belief that in order for man to be in harmony with himself and his environment, he has to integrate the body, the mind, and the spirit. For these three to be integrated, emotion, action, and intelligence must be in balance. The Yogis originated a way to achieve and maintain this balance through exercise, breathing, and meditation - the three main Yoga essentials.

Everyone can practice Yoga. We all have a body that can be trained in some manner. The thoughtful practice of yoga promotes a mental and physical flexibility that you will find beneficial in all areas of life, unlimited by concerns of aging, sex, or strength. All you need is comfortable clothing, a mat to practice on and the firm determination to do something about your life. Yoga’s gifts are accessible to everybody and it can help to develop balance, vitality, and strength.
